Why spotlights on older Class A'?
My 1987 has a remote controlled spot light up top ( works great, it is bright! ). But why? Did they serve a purpose? If so, why don't the new ones I see, have one? Was it a fad? I seem to only notice ...

I suppose it comes in handy on rare occasions but I suspect that just like the so-called "scare lights" they used to put on every RV, someone finally realized nobody cared much about them so they deleted it to save a buck.
