I think there are full-timers who are simply living and an outdoor TV equates more to a second or third TV in the house (such as Ivylog suggests - not wanting to watch the same program as your spouse).
I get that for some people it's a part of their RV experience.
For me, I don't even want a TV on the inside of my RV let alone the outside. If I want to just sit and chill out, I'll read a book (nothing to get in the way of a good book when you're camping). If I want music, I use my mp3 player with a small portable speaker for outside or in the dock with the computer speakers for inside. My camping experience is as simple and basic as I can make it and I like it that way.
