I'm going to install a new Winegard Traveler dish on the motorhome. My question is that there are existing RG6 cables that are prewired from a switching box in one cabinet to another cabinet where the HDTV receiver will be located. Can the RG6 cables carry the HDTV signal from the new HDTV receiver back to the switching box so the 2 TV's will operate in Hi def? The receiver only has a HDMI connection on the "out" to TV side of the receiver. The "IN" from the Traveler dish is an RG6 connection.
Believe this box will do it. The output is BNC connector which is a type of coax connector. I think I would just change out the receiver box for one with RG6 output instead. If you still want to use a converter box I suspect you can purchase a BNC to RG6 connector. Then you need to convert back to HDMI from SDI. Need two boxes and adapters. Just not sure it is worth the effort.
HDMI to coax
BNC to RG6 conversion
SDI to HDMI conversion
