Will RG6 cable carry the HDTV signal to my new TV?

The long answer is yes but.....

Well, To do the job you need an HDMI modulator.. This is kind of like to watch a DVD on the remote TV you need a MODULATOR.. This device takes your audio and video, converts it to RF (Channel 3 or 4 usually) and ships it down the coax

Modulators for DVD use run about 25 bucks

The ones I found for HDIM, 1500 to 2000. I am sure there are less expensive ones but that was what I found when I searched.
