Today it only took about 2 hours to use crimp rings and get the fittings back together. What a project. But it’s done and not leaking. My arms are only a little bruised and scraped. Ha ha.
I fit it all together before I crimped anything.
It took some finagling to get the pipes the right length. I had to cut about a 1/4 inch off this one. Once they were together I had to crimp them. Harder than it looked in this small space with the wire in the way. Some moved either too close or too far away from the fitting. But they don’t leak so it’s ok. Impossible to see even with a lantern so had to crimp by feel.
Thanks for these comments. I wouldn’t have thought to replace the whole pex pipe and next time I have a leaky hose I’ll get a flair- it fitting.
Now we have a pressire tank. I put one in our old RV and it really helps to minimize the pump running for the middle of the night bathroom runs.
