Like anything else, once you learn the ins and outs of Rving, you'll know whether or not you made the right decision.
The worst case scenario isn't all that bad...selling the RV and quitting or trying a different type of RV if the Minnie Winnie isn't right for you.
Find a good mechanic to service the chasis (I use Ford's commercial division). Some regular car dealers will work on smaller RVs too.
Find a good RV service place to help you with things that go wrong inside the coach.
We're on our 3rd RV -we learned as we go. We finally have an RV that is perfect for us! Have fun! And as far as traveling alone, use common sense. Be careful about boondocking (although that can be a lot of fun and save $) and keep mace or wasp spray near your RV door. Hopefully you'll never need it.
