What I don't get is why Ford, Fiat, and Mercedes don't sell their 4x4 offerings here. I've read rumors that 2015 might give us a 4x4 Sprinter, but I'm not holding my breath.
the 4x4 option might give more space underneath to hang generators, tanks, etc., as well as additional clearance.
What I'm guessing will happen is that Sportsmobile and Quigley will offer 4x4 conversions. They couldn't with Sprinters unless they wanted to lose their authorized upfitter status. ProMasters will be difficult due to front wheel drive, so most likely we will be seeing converted Transits in a couple years.
