We are looking to cover our RV next winter instead of renting a storage unit for it. Does anyone have recommendations for covers or ones to stay away from?

They work fine as long as you don't have a lot of wind slapping them around

Or a lot of snow. You will still have to clear snow off of them, if you get snow where you are.

Just be careful when installing or removing. A little wind turns them into a nice parachute. I have used Tyvec covers & they've been great. When to put up a car port type & ended up with this

We are discussing carports as well...My husband is very jealous now.

If the wind blows where you live, don't even think about it. The least amount flapping will damage your RV. Where I live I see RVs covered by the owners and left in storage in September/October. By November/December they are half uncovered and flapping in the wind not only damaging their unit but the one next to it. By January, the cover is in tatters or even missing completely. Don't care how well fitted or secured they will not hold up under windy conditions.

Why do people post something like the one above? If the OP had the option for a covered storage building I am certain they would have not asked about a cloth cover.

Not everyone has the option for a storage building. I know I don't.

One time I posted a question about products to help keep graphics from fading and cracking. One guy said responded by saying that I should keep the MH out of the sun. Duh, no kidding. BUT what if you don't have the ability to keep it out of the sun?
