Winter Relaxing

Looking for input as to best places to just relax over the winter months in Arizona. Probably around the Phoenix or Tucson area, we would like to spend 3 or 4 months away from the Colorado cold.

  • Thank you for all the places to check out, plan on driving the toad down in a couple of weeks, will be looking them over.

  • If you're not dead set on an "RV Park", why not check out boondocking on BLM land? We've done that for several weeks at a time in the winter, and loved the solitude and peace.
  • Casa Grande gets a lot of dust storms and is a long drive into Phoenix for anything you might want to do there. For the Phoenix area, consider Apache Junction. Other popular snowbird spots are Tucson, Yuma and up along the Colorado River from Yuma. You might look into Amado just south of Tucson. Also, if this is your first trip, why don't you move around and test out different areas? Good luck!
