I agree that a full tank is surely best, primarily to address the condensation issue. Don't worry about the fuel being 6 months old in the spring time.
As far as adding Stabil or equivalent, they surely do no harm. But I do question if they are absolutely required for a short 6 month period. I question it because I never use any such additives in my seasonal vehicles and lawn care equipment and everything is always fine when waking them up and running them.
Fuel these days is formulated different than yester-year which may be the reason why I don't have trouble.
