Winterizing washer/dryer combo and residential fridge

I just purchase but have not taken delivery of a new coach. This coach has a residential refrigerator with the ice maker and water dispenser in the door. It also has a washer/dryer combo. This is my first experience with these appliances and not sure how to winterize these units. I am very familiar with winterizing a coach since I have owned a couple since 1984.
Thanks

  • For the washer/dryer combo you basically start the fill cycle on warm, then stop and advance the control to the spin cycle. That will fill all of the lines, the pump, and the trap with antifreeze.

The residential refer is a little tougher. First, remove the filter. You don't want it installed all winter, but more importantly, if you choose to use the "pink stuff", it will not be pink after passing through the filter. It will be clear as water.

The water dispenser is easy. Just blow out or run it till antifreeze appears.

The ice maker needs to be cycled to clear all water from the lines. Some have a manual cycle switch, but many do not. I added a switch to the back of my RR that allows me to manually operate the ice maker fill valve. You could do this with a simple jumper, or you could remove the lines from the valve, but my valve is very difficult to access, so I installed a switch.
