WOOD FLOOR IN THE BACK UNDER THE BED AREA

has any one installed the wood floor in the back area
under the bed - with the area that has to be lifted up
at the back for storage I wondered if there was a problem
putting it there as it lifts and folds
I just picked up a 1992 and wonder how any one could
sell this without cleaning a thing
thanks

  • Personally, I don't care much for a hard floor anywhere that is going to be storage, because all the stuff slides around too much. Our underbed storage has been redone with nice rubber backed entrance mat material (thin) that is just enough carpet to keep stuff in place and quiet.
  • If you are replacing the flooring why wouldn't you just cut it to the sizes of the lift up door. That is very handy for storage and the reason for the hinge is so it can be lifted with the bed in place. I think you are talking about a Roadtrek. It does help when you give adequate info. We don't know what you are referring to without some info.
  • I put in some "Allure" flooring. Looks like a laminate but it's a vinyl. It's more stable than wood. Lay it tight, no space around the edge.
