Not everyone likes the smell of stinky campfires. Yes, I had fires when I was young, but we burned WOOD...a lot of the dummies these days burn everything from trash to pressure treated wood. Good dry wood, preferably oak will burn clean and not smell. Now those idiots who pile 8" wet logs in the pit, then need to add a can of lighter fluid and a match...well they're nitwits...those, and the ones who start a fire in the pit then go to bed, leaving the smoky smelly fire unattended...well, they're inconsiderate idiots too....people with breathing difficulties don't like campfires....JMHO...Dennis

We live fulltime on the road and if they outlawed all fires it would not hurt my feelings. I have horrible allergies and smoke will give me a headache that lasts for days and days. In addition, not only do we get the horrible smell inside, which is a pain, but my car and RV get covered in ash and the embers can easily burn awnings and slide out covers. Loved the west coast where most every park banned fires!!!!
