Help! Just returned from our first camping trip, as soon as we arrived at the campsite the people behind us had the most awful smelling smokey campfire going and it all came rushing in through our win...

Someone will show second hand campfire smoke is hazardous to our health and outlaw them. Until then, campfires will be allowed at all State Parks and most pvt campgrounds. California has already banned wood burning fireplaces in many locations, so that day may be coming. Like cigarette smokers, until they're outlawed, they will exist. Maybe the interim solution is to TEACH folks how to build a campfire. Stupid is as stupid does! Some people still think it's ok to burn ANYTHING the pits. Personally I can't stand the smelly green, wet wood and garbage people burn in the pits. If that makes me a snob, well then that sux for you! Learn how to make a fire and use good DRY wood....the OP should not have to suffer the consequences of someone else's ignorance....Dennis
