No matter what you do, DO NOT send any money for any reason! I once saw a good friends RV for sale on the internet with lots of pictures and excellent descriptions. My friend was NOT selling their RV but it was a scam using information obtained from information available before they purchased the coach.
If I was going to buy from a private party at a distance I would find an inspector (or RV dealer) willing to do a complete inspection, make arrangements with the owner to go to this inspection together and then if you are both happy with the results, arrange some kind of monetary transfer. Please, don't send any money to any one prior to being able to take possession of the RV.
