Only thing I want to mention is there are gozillion used class A's of all mfg's for sale.......do ya have to fall in love with one 1500 miles away? Yes you can certainly make a great purchase from a seller 1500 miles away but are you up for it? Even if it is a peach (it probably is) are you up for the drama of flying out and driving it home? Which Winny model is it?
Lots of good advice from everyone, but this is the one that really hit home. In the last month or so I've "just missed" buying two RVs that are exactly what I'm looking for that were both at really good prices. Instead of saying, "Self, you missed these two, but you've just started searching and you have plenty of time. If there were two, there will be more," I said "Oh no, I can't miss the next one!" The rig I've been talking about is just what I'm looking for, but it's not really the right price, particularly when factoring in the distance. I've decided to let it go.
In the meantime, I'm regularly checking RVtrader.com and rvt.com, using SearchTempest to scour Craigslist, and checking the inventories of the big national chains. Any other ideas about where to look? We have a specific make and model in mind, which makes it easier and harder at the same time!
