You CAN get rid of that chalky exterior. I did it with Bar Keepers Friend and white 3m pads. Then I did Red Max Pro (RMP) back before they discontinued it and only offered the more expensive ZEP, same stuff. You just have to work like crazy to get the chalking and dirt completely off before you apply the stuff. I read that concrete sealer does the same thing. It works great if you do the prep well. But it doesn't preserve the graphics.
