Wtaer Pump Will Not Shut Off

After filling my fresh water tank, I turned my pump on to get some water in the black tank and check all the faucets, etc like I always do before a trip. This time, I noticed the pump is continuing to run even with all taps closed...nothing open for water to flow. Any ideas why a pump would continue to run even though there are no valves open, etc?

    Mine will not shut off when it has air in the line. Open the faucets and let the air out and pump shuts off.
