Wtaer Pump Will Not Shut Off

After filling my fresh water tank, I turned my pump on to get some water in the black tank and check all the faucets, etc like I always do before a trip. This time, I noticed the pump is continuing to run even with all taps closed...nothing open for water to flow. Any ideas why a pump would continue to run even though there are no valves open, etc?

  • Mine will not shut off when it has air in the line. Open the faucets and let the air out and pump shuts off.

BINGO! I just came back in to state just that! Thanks for the quick and accurate diagnosis!
