We use to antelope hunt out of Laramie near Pathfinder and Seminoe Reservoirs along the "miracle mile"..a stretch of the Medicine Bow river renowned for it's trout fishing. We took our 19.5' openroad mini to the banks of the river over 9 m. of dirt road from the pavement. Had a wonderful time. This was in 1981 or so. FIrst time I had ever dry camped or "boondocked" as they say now. I ran the gen to dry my hair and then use the curling iron. I felt like I was real SPECIAL.. haha! A great area to pass thru.
Also,,might you take a little side trip thru the snowy range thru Encampment and Saratoga? that's a great little side trip! or was way back then. I would love to do that trip over again one of these days. Not particularly off road but down to Saratoga and thru the snowy range. I love that route!
Let us hear from you about how it was!
