We have done it twice, both times in our 29' class C, (which actually measures 30.5 ft) and toad, had no problems fitting into Madison, or
Bridge Bay CG's, getting around can be done either way, but getting around with the toad far easier.
So to actually answer your question, I would combine the two options and take the 30 footer and toad.
