Yellowstone
Been away from the forum for a while - work, work, work. Now we're thinking of taking the MH to Yellowstone for a week sometime in September. Having never been there, I have a few obvious questions:...
Ranger Smith wrote:Yes, there is a fire, but by Yellowstone standards it is not considered a big fire. The park has had a lot of rain showers in the past few days, and the humidity is up a little along with the temps being down a bit all of which helps slow down the fire growth. The only place it might be a bit of a problem is around Fishing Bridge, where the Alum fire might cause some issues due primarily to smoke, though we went through there a couple of days ago and there was almost no smoke even visible. There are actually five fires, but only the Alum fire is of any concern to a normal park visitor. The others are all in the deep back country and are a multiday journey on foot or horse just to get to them.
Yellowstone has a major forest fire going through it now
