Fire Up - on one hand you boast about the dry camping and prime reason for it being separation, yet you suggest they stay at Grizzly RV in West Yellowstone? Yes, it's nice, we've stayed there max a couple of nights to dump our tanks, fill up, and do laundry, but if you prefer the dry camping style of camping in Yellowstone then you'll prefer Baker's Hole FS CG just 2 miles north of West Yellowstone - national park look and feel but with electricity and the sites are much more big rig friendly than a national park.
ReneeG,
Well, we've been camping for decades. We've camped in all kinds of parks, campgrounds, Walmarts,(no camping, just a nights rest) "Resorts" and more. We do love dry camping, depending conditions, surroundings etc. Yellowstone's "Grant Village Campground" is one of our favorites. Kaibab Lake National Forrest Campground, just outside of Williams AZ is another one. I've never seen or been to Bakers Hole, we'll have to check it out.
But, if hookups are demanded, or preferred, and Yellowstone is the intended visitation area, then yes, I would stay in Grizzly Rv Park way before I'd stay in Fishing Bridge. So, yes, we like both. If it's pretty hot in the region we're intending on staying for touring, then, we might hunt for a nice park with hookups.
But, it the weather's mild and there's other items on the ajenda, like fishing, then a place like we just stayed for a few days called "East Fork" NF Campground just up from "Toms Place" in the Sierras of CA. It's a no-hook up area with beautiful pine trees, a creek, lots of shade and higher elevation for cooler temps.
Sorry to the OP, Pompomgirl, didn't mean to veer from the original topic.
