Keep in mind that a full size crew cab and 8 ft box PU is about 23 long.
With the size of cars today there are plenty of smaller ones that can take the space behind your overhang in parking lots or on streets.
We have a 25 ft C w/o toad and get along fine for 4 or 5 months a year. We travel, not sit for long periods of time. I have posted this many times, because of lack of a lot of table space, everything has to be put away when not in use. That means that we can pack up and go in about 5 minutes. We usually don't hook to sewer and only dump when we are leaving and not coming back, so the only outside issues are blocks and water.
The other benefit is that we have all out clothes with us at all times along with food and water, camera, etc. We never have to guess if we need rain coats, heavy coats, or any thing else you can think of. It probably takes others more than 5 minutes to figure out what to take if using the toad.
