Try renting a car for those few times when you really want/need one, such as sight seeing in a big city. Parking can be scarce even in a small rental car at peak tourist seasons. Call ahead to RV parks on the edge of cities and inquire about shuttle bus service into the city, tour bus connections, etc. It is easier and more cost-effective to go toadless and do last minute shopping before you arrive at the RV park, etc. It only takes 5 minutes to unhook a C and secure stuff inside for a day trip. Don't connect to sewer until your black and grey tanks are near full to minimize disconnect time for "exploring" or trips into town. Towing (or not) is a plus/minus subject. You can also leave your toad home when not needed.
