After owning a MH with Comfort Drive since 2007 I wouldn't be without it, so that limits it to Newmar and Newell.
If you take CD out of the mix I'd add Entrgra/Travel Supreme to the list. I'd also look at the Monaco/Holiday Rambler line, but I'd look closely. They have been through a few different owners, Navistar didn't seem to do them any favors. The new owners also own Fleetwood, and they have done a nice job by most accounts.
Foretravel makes a nice piece by all accounts, I have no personal working knowledge of them. Country Coach made a nice unit, however they're now an orphan, if that matters to you. Obviously the real bus builders, Marathon, Newell, etc are nice.
Mr. Brown,
Newell is not a bus. Marathon, Liberty, Millennium, Vantare, Featherlight, etc. are built on a Prevost chassis, hence, a 'BUS' and are DOT certified. I've never seen a passenger Newell coach for commercial use.
MCI and Van Hool are a couple of other 'real' buses. Country Coach and Monaco built on the Prevost chassis (Monaco's were called 'Royale's').
Probably 1,000's and 1,000's of Prevost chassis buses are produced each year for the transportation industry and sent around the world. Of that number, maybe a couple of hundred are for motorhome conversions. Newell probably produces less than 30 coaches a year.
(the above numbers are used for a generalization)
