Thanks so much, I think this awning has outlived its usefulness so while the crank sounds great I am thinking the rest is just kinda piece of ****? they came today and its more parts broken.
Anyway for those of you with electric awnings the last funny looking thing I did for shade was to take an inexpensive tarp and big clips and clip it to the side and then stake the bottom to the ground where the groumets where...not perfect but it lasted while the large gathering was there.I stretched it out as far as I could so folks could walk around and under it.....if we had strong wind then no would have had to dismantle it...
