How the heck old are you that drinks were not an extra cost? Never in my lifetime. Water is still free and everything else should cost more since I prefer to pay for what I consume, not pay for what someone else might. UAnd we all know that anything that is "free" is really just included in the price of something else.

Heck, I'm so old I can remember when coffee was a nickel a cup and you got refills.

But even at a nickel, it wasn't free, and that was in the era where a nickel was more than extra weight in your pocket.
