5 minute icecream

This is great for the kids to do after dinner.

In a 1 gallon zip lock bag add 2 cups of crushed ice and 6 tablespoons of ice cream rock salt.

Then in a quart size zip lock bag add 1 cup of whole milk, 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or any other flavor extract you want the ice cream to taste like.

Next zip the small bag shut and place it in the big bag and zip that shut. Juggle the bag around for about 5 - 8 min or until the contents in the small bag thicken up to your liking.

Remove the small bag and dry it off (you do not want the salt water in your ice cream). Now enjoy your desert.

  • I've tried it and it is VERY good. We use sweet 'n low for sweetener and sometimes chop up some peaches or strawberries and toss in there. You don't even have to use rock salt as regular table salt will work fine. And we use half 'n half (not nearly as good for you but comes out more like real ice cream).
