3. My version of German Potatoes-Chunk potatoes and place in 12 inch Dutch Oven with a generous amount of clarified butter. Place DO over 6 charcoals and 15 on top. Chop bacon and onions and saute in seperate pan. Add cooked bacon and onions when the potatoes are about 2/3 done. Season with white pepper and cook until tender. May have to add fresh charcoal to finish cooking. Clarified butter and white pepper are usually found in health/natural food stores.
