Dave..............My wife makes them quite frequently.......had them just 2 Sunday's ago......She uses just regular Krusteaz pancake mix......there is little to no difference between pancake mix and a Ableskiever recipe.......
Over the stove top........You need to fill each cavity with about a tablespoon of oil........when hot, pour in some batter.......when it forms a skin on the bottom and before it cooks through you use a wooden skewer and rotate the ball of dough a bit.........usually 3 rotations are needed to make it completely round.....then with the skewer you pull it out and plate it.......We serve ours with powdered sugar and raspberry jam that has been thinned a bit with water........
