Anyone using a kerosene or alcohol stove in their RV?

We have alcohol stove in our boat. I lit it once to see if it worked. I wanted to use it for fresh lobster while still on the reef. I didn't like the thought of, on the ocean, 5 miles out, and fire. I didn't like that you can hardly see the flame, never re lit it.
