Just made an apple crisp yesterday.
Had some old briquets and some green apples so what better use.
1/2 cup white flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup (stick) of COLD butter cut into chunks
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Mix together in large bowl using pastry cutter to incorporate the butter chunks until crumbled
Then fold in 1 cup rolled oats
4 good size green apples
Cored/pealed and then sliced into wedges.....roughly 10 per each apple
Layer apple slices then dump mixture over top and press tight
Lid..hot coals about 40 minutes
Let sit for 10 minutes then serve up with vanilla ice cream. Yummmmmmmmmmm
