Any French Press I've ever used does NOT "press" the grounds. All they do is shove them down out of the way for when you pour. So exactly how does a FP produce better coffee than just soaking your grounds in hot water Cowboy Style.
I would love to do a double blind test of this.
(And by the way, we use Peets ground coffee on the road.)
For camping and home I've had a Bodium and JavaPress French press. They both worked fine from my perspective but the man was all thumbs using it. Since he drinks coffee and I drink tea he's getting Starbucks instant this year.
