The holes in mine a drill right next to the metal piece, no room for the head of the screw.
I sent a note to them yesterday. I had a problem on my 36" and they are sending me a new shelf for that one. The shelf is on backorder but they sent me some really neat items since I have to wait for the shelf.
If they send me a new lid I will just drill new holes in the current one so I can use it. If they won't, I will still drill holes. Next camping trip isn't until the end of October so I have some time.
