I have an old clean oven rack that I place on the fire ring. It's from a full size oven so usually big enough. Some meats I can put directly on that and since it has whatever oven racks have on them, it cleans up easily. Smaller items I either wrap in foil or I have grilling pan I can put on top of the rack to let things like shrimp cook. It just has small holes in it and has a cover.
