I cook regular brown rice (takes about an hour), then I will divide into individual containers and freeze. It takes about 1 minute in the zapper and you have perfectly cooked, warm brown rice to go with whatever you are making. Also, before cooking, I will add about 2 tsp butter to the bottom of the pot and brown the rice. This gives it a great taste.
My mom puts hers in sandwich size baggies and freezes them flat, then stands them up in a basket in her freezer compartment. There is enough for at least 2 people. DO NOT RE-WARM IN THE BAGGIE in the microwave.
