To season a new pan, rub Crisco all over the pan. Put it upside down on a cookie sheet in the oven @ 275 for 4 to 5 hours. Once it is seasoned just wipe it out after cooking with it, and just rub a little oil in it each time you use it. Don't use water on it if possible. Good Luck !
