Cast Iron pan seasoning Question

I don't have the Lodge brand of cast iron pans, but I use others (got them at thrift stores and some rusty as heck!).. Can cook eggs in them with just some butter or bacon grease or even some none stick spray. Fried or scrambled. Sure you have to clean the pan afterward, but I just scrape it and then wipe with a paper towel. It ain't like using a non stick pan by any means.

Hash browns and other such things seem to work well too. Love my cast iron and yes, they are heavy, but I still pack them in the trailer (in the oven) and very happy.
