In looking through the archives, I noticed that the threads get closed and can not be brought back to life. Anyone know the reason for this?

Wasn't there (at least at one time in the past) an off forum site that had collected all the recipes here from this forum?????????
I just seem to remember searching through that site for a recipe I had once posted, and in fact found it.
Then again, I suppose it is no longer active.
