Cut them to fit and just leave them in place all the time on the stacked dishes. As you use them and wash them it takes a second to replace the liner between them.
My glass cups just simply get placed into a drawer in the closet where I keep my towels. Takes 2 minutes to walk them to the closet drawer. Well worth the time not to hear them rattling when I hit the road. :C
Double ditto. We use this method on our Corelle plates. We don't bother with glass tumblers though. We're happy with our ginormous insulated mugs and plastic cups.
