Davey Crockett spring legs
Wasn't at all happy with the instability of the Davey Crockett spring legs so I came up with this as a solution. 4 - 1 1/4" pipe couplings. Much better now.

The springs are about 1/4" shorter than the coupling. I just set the legs in the coupling on a picnic bench.
