Dinners without a refrigerator
I'm in need of dinner ideas that use ingredients that are canned or packaged - or anything that doesn't need refrigeration. Thanks for your thoughts!

Get a can of NIDO milk. Powdered whole milk, not skim.
Most anything Pasta.
You can also use canned chicken or canned beef. Once it's in a stew or sauce it's not so bad.
I've spent time in many a 3rd world country where refrigeration at home didn't exist. We never seemed to lack things to eat -- it was just different, and we did have to be a bit careful. Take a look in a Mexican supermarket -- you may spot some good products there.
