I can say regarding new enameled CI that I returned a 6 or 8 qt oval casserole purchased from ShopNBC; one INTEGRAL handle was broken when I opened the box:M. Going back to Staub and Le Creuset without looking back.
Lodge CI is still made in the USA. There's also the Canadian made CI mentioned earlier. Fortunately there are still quality new pieces from these sources whose foundries who don't mix toxic metals in with the iron.
