My children can attest to the fact that Corelle breaks; as do old style Tonka trucks (I did wonder a bit about my youngest son when he was growing up. One of his nicknames was Dr. Destructo)and much of my collection of Depression glassware which apparently makes apple juice taste better. The thing is it takes some time for all these items to break with the exception of the glassware. That only takes a nanosecond or two:)
I never realised that Melamine wasn't microwave proof but I'm still RV less and confine my home "nuker" dishes to one or two different sized glass plates and stoneware bowls. Guess I'll have to re-educate the man when the RV arrives.
