Dishes for the motorhome

Getting ready to full time in the VERY near future. Deb *& I have some standard plates & such for the motorhome but think that we should get some LIGHTWEIGHT dishes after a very old\rare antique glass dinner plate fell out of the upper cabinet smashing into a MILLION shards. Thankfully Deb was standing to the side & got only a few minor cuts. WOW, that was close.

We have a stack of plates that prob wight 20+ lbs! Was taking to my sister who is an RV'er & they use just paper plates.

What are others using for plates & such?

Thanks

  • I use some thin and light white plates with a blue print on them. Don't recall the brand right now. They are glass like, but not glass, and are microwave safe, without heating up in the microwave.

I have some plastic plates at home, and they heat up when I heat anything up in the microwave on them. So those plastic plates can not go into the micro anymore. I use ceramic plates in the micro at home, but they would be to heavy for RV use.

    Good luck!
