Fry the balony until nearly burned, melt cheese on top, fry the onion until soft.
Put on a large pretzel or kaiser bun add the spices you like, get a beer and some german potato salad and eat like a bavarian king.
Are you sure your not from Philly??? I grew up on that camping with my parents!!! They used to caramelize onions in the skillet and then fry the Bologna in the same pan,, then throw a slice of swiss on it,,, Heap of onions,Bologna,cheese on a almost burnt bun!!!! With YELLOW mustard!!! And a Jewish pickle on the side!!!! (from a pickle barrel)...Oh yeah,, in the pine barrens of Jersy!!!
