If using Charcoal and you want it lit quick, try using lump charcoal instead of briquets, and don't use lighter fluid, but carry a propane torch, and you can have it lit and ready in no time. I light my egg like this, and it's ready to grill burgers in 10 minutes.
I can light lump charcoal in about 15 minutes using a chimney starter. Gives me enough time to rummage thru my coolers and do all my food prep. Keep in mind I'm primarily a tent camper and try to keep the types of fuel I carry to a minimum.
