  • Dang that’s poor hope they saved you some scraps on the fingers hahahah
  • We were so poor that we had to go to KFC and lick other peoples fingers!
  • I grew up poor as well but you know what I wouldn’t trade it for anything it made me who I am today I don’t have a lot of fancy things ham radio gear cooking stuff and lots of fishing rods and my MH I’m now retired and look back at those times with fond memories of freinds and family no longer here
  • Charlie D. I know just what you mean.
Feel the same way about antiques. We had to use use that ****, furniture, cooking utensils, etc., always wishing we could afford new stuff. Why in the world would we now go out and buy that same old **** (and sometimes paying a very big price for it)?
  • People who grew up in poverty like I did do not eat grits as an adult. We detest them.

We were so poor while growing up adults made coffee from grounds until they turn white. They then cooked them and served them to us as grits. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
