One failsafe method is to cut a piece of wax paper the size and shape of the pan bottom. It is how I do all my non stick cake pans and works very well as long as one doesn't allow the baked item to cool for too long on the pan. Has your DW been diligent about flipping the pan say within 10 - 15 minutes?
