hot sauce

an Indian co-worker just returned form a trip home. he brought me a crazy hot sauce. ENE Bhut Jolokia Chilli Sauce Extra hot. linke is here. Holy **** its hot. Perfect. Whats everyone else using for face numbing hot sauce?
  • Sriracha & Franks. 12 oz glass of V8 with either every morning. An hour later I'm clean as a whistle. LOL
  • All the Tabascos and Louisianas. All Cholulas. Sriracha. Sweet chili sauce. Tiger sauce. Jalapeño salsa. I like flavor and avoid those that make it so hot I can’t taste anything.
  • I like Sriracha especially as a dip for shrimp but that is my limit. No need to go stupid hot for bragging rights.
  • I've heard good things about mad dog. think its next to try for the very hot sauce.
  • I recommend for those who like flavor and the back bite reminder that this is Hot Sauce........Give Pepper Plant a shot. Super flavorful and exciting with the reminder that it is hot sauce.
  • Personally I like mad dog hot sauce but I warn you it's very very hot but with good flavor
  • I like Hot Sauces......
Cholula, Frank's Red Hot, Green Jalapeno etc

Sauces with FLAVOR and a little bit of heat

I do NOT need to numb my face or kill off taste buds.
I want FLAVOR not mouth scorching affects......otherwise WHY bother?
  • for rational hot sauces that support taste and tolerable bowel movements I love Cholula. Not hot per say but tasty. I am looking for new face numbing cold sweating hot sauces. This one seems to do the trick. doesn't really have anything to mellow it out.

    ingreediants are

    water
bhut jolokia chili puree (25 percent and its fresh NOT from powder aparently)
    garlic paste
    salt
    acidity redulator INS 260
    Chili Powder
    Thickener INS 415.
  • I tend to stick with Tabasco or a Tabasco like product for everyday stuff. I generally steer clear of the ghost pepper and habanero pepper sauces because they are either too hot, or in order to make them tolerable they add some many numbing ingredients(like carrots in habenero sauces), that you can't really taste the pepper flavor.

There is another that is always in our house and it's called Pepper Plant Hot Sauce. We stick with the original and the chunky garlic.

I like Trader Joe's Japeleno Hot Sauce too.
